Hey there Flint Family!Summer is coming to a close and just before we all start bustin out our sweaters, Carhartt hats, and coffee mugs, we thought we’d transition you guys into fall with a new acoustic EP titled “SIMPLE”! We’ve had such a busy summer that we completely breezed past our 1 year anniversary of our debut EP “Late Nights In Bolo Ties” last month. LN&BT was a culmination of heavy hitting songs that we feel a lot of you have grown to love. We’ve decided to show a different side of FE with SIMPLE by recording acoustic renditions of “Billy The Kid” & “Can You Feel Me Now”, plus a bonus unreleased track titled “Perfect Match”.
For all of you TV watchers, you may recognize our song “Perfect Match” in the trailer for NBC’s new sitcom “A to Z” - (wooo!!)
I’ve always had a strong love for folk music - I remember being 15 playing acoustic jams between metal bands at the Modern Exchange in Southgate. There’s something so raw and honest that comes forward when you strip everything down and allow a song to breathe. It feels great to stretch out my songwriting roots once again.
We’re still in studio everyday playing with Mowgli, nursing caffeine overloads, and writing our next release. Hopefully “SIMPLE” will hold you over till then!
You can pick up “SIMPLE” on iTunes or Bandcamp right now!
